Yup! J and I were talking about that. But I'm sure after another storm or two he'll be back on the "it won't be that bad" train. He's always been the type who seems to know better than the weatherman.

I'm angry. I'm just so fucking mad today and yesterday and probably tomorrow. At everything and nothing, and it's so frustrating. It's all been too damn much for too damn long, and I'm losing it.

Put it in the book. Let it out. You have plenty to be mad about.

We all do. I wish I was the type who was soothed instead of annoyed by housework!

Haha same. No rage cleaning here, just raging about the mess I have to clean up.

Someone in this neighborhood (we think) keeps playing loud music and the bass makes it way through our windows even when closed (and I’m pissed I had to close them because it’s actually pleasant weather outside). I can’t figure out where it’s coming from. Ryan and I even walked around last time we heard it and couldn’t find the source. It was weird and frustrating. I get wanting to hear music but your neighbors don’t! Wear headphones and/or close your windows. WTF. It’s really distracting when I’m trying to work. I’m at the point where I’m constantly angry at people’s selfishness and inability to think about the people around them. I don’t like feeling this way but it’s hard to ignore that behavior.

Another possibility is it’s not in our neighborhood. According to Nextdoor, a lot of people around the island have been hearing the bass and think it’s coming from Oakland. Someone also mentioned boat parties being a possible culprit. Either way, fucking inconsiderate.

Yeah I feel you on this. On Saturday night (Sunday morning?), my neighbour was having a fire in his yard and blasting music out of a truck...at 2:30 in the morning. It was like a radio was on in my bedroom. They were still going at 4:30am when I had to get up to settle S again. :bird:

I was really close to blasting some annoying Alvin and the Chipmunks songs off my deck towards their house at 6am when the kids woke up, but I didn’t want to stoop to that level.

That’s ridiculous. I find loud music acceptable during the daytime but not after noise curfew.

I'm the cantankerous old lady that will call the non-emergency police number on you if you pull that crap.

The guy across the street plays drums when I like to nap (ie: right now). He’s getting better but he still isn’t good. Still, I’d rather he do it now than at midnight. I get that we’re all a little more aware of urban sounds while we’re stuck at home, but what can you do? We all need to blow off some steam.

Oh so I found out where it was coming from. The fucking A’s game! We’re not close enough to the Coliseum to be hearing the music that loudly but a bunch of people were saying that’s where it was coming from. It stopped when the game ended. I emailed the Coliseum asking them to please turn the music down tomorrow. I know I’m not the only one who emailed. It went on for 6+ hours today because they started when batting practice started. We have single pane windows so closing them really doesn’t help. I don’t know much about sound but maybe since there are no humans in the stands, the sound is reverberating more and making it travel farther. Idk

I love the post office, I really do but I’m so pissed at them right now. Long story short, Chase Bank completely fucked up our DMV registration for Ryan’s car when we went from a lease to financing. They sat on the documents for 5 months until we got a letter from the DMV in July about incomplete registration then sat on the docs for another 2 weeks before sending them to DMV. Ryan’s registration was due August 2. We’ve been waiting to get the renewal form and finally got something Saturday but it wasn’t the renewal. It was a bunch of docs that Chase sent to the DMV, including the title, that the DMV then sent to us telling us we owe $42. It said to return the docs along with $42 to the DMV. Why they didn’t just send a notice to pay the fee is beyond me. Monday we got a priority mail envelope and sent everything out. We live in the bay area which is about an hour an a half from Sacramento which is where this envelope is going. I just tracked it and it took almost 2 days just to leave the bay area. It left Sac’s regional facility yesterday morning and hasn’t been scanned anywhere since. It also says it’s going to be delivered on Saturday. WTF. I could’ve driven it to Sacramento myself! I know USPS is busy right now but when you pay for priority mail because it’s something really fucking important, you expect it to get to the destination in a timely manner. I just want this registration nightmare to end. I honestly don’t even know if the $42 is going to get us the registration. I’m expecting another notice with like a $500 fee or something.
