That's what I mean! I think pothos are great indoor houseplants.
Glad you think so because I just made another dozen babies that need homes.
I say put them around all over the apartment!
I am going to build myself a pothos jungle. If I ever go missing, bring the machetes and sunscreen, come find me.
Take care of my baby for me.
I inspected my marble queen last night for you and it looks like one of the "vines" (it is still smol, calling them vines is generous at this point) is trying to root back into the pot lol. So I've decided this weekend I will cut off that bit and root it properly. It will definitely be ready to have a baby for you when the time comes.
EDIT: Look at those nodes stretch, trying to be roots. Have it your way, queen.
(Based on a true story)
Lh718 - do you have any begonias? If so, are they easy to grow?
I just picked up my stromanthe triostar and it’s so pretty. Tiny, but I will love it and grow it.
How fucking dare you get one before me!
You said I could!
That sounds like something I might have said but now I'm jealous so I take it back.
@lrrr I do not have any. Are you starting to collect them?
I don’t have any...yet.
Was wondering if you had any in your amazing collection!
She's trying to get me on them too. Which I am fine with because polka-dot begonia.
How many do you have on your wishlist?
Just the polka dot SO FAR. On the wait list.
May I interest you in some black begonias...?
It’s finally spring!!
I repotted my poor root bound monstera last night and got two big plants out of it. One full of the smaller vines (with a little pole) and the 3 big ones that regularly put out fenestrated leaves in a 12” pot with a taller pole.
Then today I put my string of pearls in a hanging pot that better suits it (white instead of the blue that it almost disappeared against). It also happens to have a drain hole and plug, and I remembered to put expanded clay pebbles in the bottom this time.
Last week my bitch peace lily got a bigger pot too, it better flower nice now.
@CoolWife very excited for your monster monsteras.
@Lh718 how is your jungle going these days?
I've got some flowers on one of my haberneros FINALLY and I pruned the others to see how they grow. Kind of thinking now I was too timid and should have cut them even shorter, since the new branches are coming in at the top and I expected them to come in lower (except now I don't know why, some video must have made me think it). Too late now, so we'll see how they do and be more aggressive with this next round of seedlings.
Also finally ordered my triostar and a neon pothos (I need all the pothos). Pics when they come in!
My collection is out of control. I think I'm more addicted to collecting rather than the plants themselves! Local plant swap this weekend, and I am hella excited to offload some babies.
I also lucked out one day and found someone selling my beloved dischidia in regular AND variegated and am now on a self-imposed indefinite buy ban after shelling out.
The next step here is finding an apartment with more space and south facing windows!
I couldn't tell you why IKEA is selling Aglaonema variants, but apparently they are. Stumbled over what I believe to be a Creta for half the price of my normal plant shop.
Needed lots of work but I think it will recover. And it was in the process of having a baby so I separated that one out to get two for the price of one!
Show us! I'm trying to live vicariously through you, lol. I've never even heard of dischidia before.
I'll try and remember to take pics on Sat while all my plant lights are on. (ETA: because I work tomorrow and miss out on lit up plants) Hopefully I'll have new swap babies, too.
