We got a bunch of snow! It was so random I didn’t even think it was forecasted today. I made C and A snowcream and we taught C how to make snowballs. We played outside for like an hour but here is how you know your raising southern kids-

C, after like five minutes: “Wanna go get warm now!”
I gave him a second hat and thicker mittens and we pushed on haha

We are supposed to have a storm. It looks like it is starting, but it's still pretty mild right now.

Honestly, I could use a snow day. Bring it on. Let me get home from work safely and then cancel rehearsal and work tomorrow. That'd be great.

If it’s coming from here it hasn’t been that impressive (yet?). We have some snow and school is off because it’s supposed to keep up all day, but it’s not bad.
C2’s nurse from 7pm last night was still here when I got here at 10. They needed people to stay over, I assume some people couldn’t make it because of the weather/school sitch.

It's supposed to be 15-20cm starting noon today and ending tomorrow morning. That isn't a whole lot, but enough to possibly cause some cancellations. My work never does snow days but they don't bat an eye if you use up a personal day because of snow. I have a long commute, so if it is bad enough I am definitely not coming in tomorrow.

    Fingers crossed.

Not sure how it’s picking up for you so far @yesmaster but it’s started here and it’s getting gross already. Lots of things are already getting canceled, but we’re expecting possibly up to 50cm. Naturally I have a doctor appointment tomorrow which I really can’t cancel since it’s a make up for an appointment that’s already had to get rescheduled ughhh

@Dorothygale It has picked up, but still isn't anything to write home about. It is likely worse at home than it is at work since I am currently in lake-effect territory

It doesn’t seem like much when I’m just looking out the window, but driving wise the visibility was getting on the poor side. Roads are just super wet so far.

Ugh, we got hit pretty hard and it's still disgusting out now and snowing and blowing. All my possible routes to my appointment - about 45 mins away, are listed as snow covered and reduced visibility. Now I have to decide if I want to reschedule the damn thing for a second time. My doctor's office also doesn't open until 10 and the appointment is at 11. Figures we had a few days this week where it felt like spring, and then this is what I get when I actually need to be somewhere. :bird:

Why? Why is it snowing in Toronto on Mothers day weekend?

    I could cry

I’m willing to take in up to two couples who have also been self isolating and want to join our mid 80 degree weather days, hole up here instead of where it’s snowy. You will have to stay completely quarantined from us in the house for two weeks after your flight but we can make that work and just hang in the backyard at a distance.

My bad guys, it always snows when I take my winter tires off. This is not the first time I've had snow in May because I put it off. Trust me, it will stop now.

My other friend took her snow brush out of her car last week so you weren’t the only culprit.

A colleague spent the weekend packing away all her winter clothes, so there were at least three of us doing the snow dance.
