I will lose it if they do! That's what I was thinking! The portal got fixed this afternoon and it pulled my auto payment! I'm glad we didn't go pay, I'm out of town anyway and J was working so we wouldn't have been able to get anything to the office on time. Now we wait to see if they charge a late fee.
Our landlord's response to COVID: sending all tenants a mobile link to a local paper article on aid, including in the URL cash-grants-for-poor-families My man, PR is not your strong suit.
Haha yep. It’s a weird time but our realtor is amazing and no-nonsense and wouldn’t let me do anything she didn’t agree with (she’s known me since I was a baby). While it’s a lot more online than it would be otherwise, we know the neighborhoods from being here so that’s great.
That sucks. I’m annoyed I just got an email that I have a past due balance on my account? I have autopay setup via our management company. Apparently they charged late on ultilities so my autopay only covered rent because that was the only thing they charged my account? HOW AM I LATE? You didn’t bill me before my payment was due? So you bill after but somehow I’m late to the due date that was before the bill?
Ours tried to tell us we need to give 60 days notice. We don’t. Also there’s been a hole in our ceiling since like November with a trash bag taped over it so it they think showing this place is happening anytime soon...
Lol now they want me to agree to a backdated lease when an identical unit across the street with a different property manager is $200/month less. No, I am not that stupid.
Lol its more complicated than I would put on a message board (yes I know that they would have a leg to stand on, I'm not arguing the rent but I'm hoping to negotiate all the repairs they haven't done, nor can he force us to sign a backdate). I am hoping we come to an amicable agreement, he's unlikely to find new tenants right now so there is some leverage there with the HOA violations.
Haha ok. As your internet lawyer I was like, welp actually if you agreed in text that would probably be binding I hope you can work something out! It’s in everyone’s best interest for you to stay put.
The past lease said a new written formal lease must be signed every year. They never gave us one to sign.
