We should deploy DHS agents to carry mail.
We can also select to be permanent vote by mail, but we can also drop it off completed. My state will go Biden, but I am dropping it off at City Hall regardless.
I just got a mailer from a real actual progressive running to primary our barely-a-democrat congressman. Very very excited..
The timeline of his illness coincided with the Tulsa rally. He may or may not have gotten it then, but yikes. He’d also previously undergone cancer treatment and was over 70, so very high risk. I don't wish this virus on anyone, but damn he’s his own cautionary tale.
He wasn't wearing a mask at the rally.
Going a step back, he ATTENDED that rally. Even with a mask that was a risk he shouldn’t have taken.
Still a terrible way to die and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, foolish risk or no.
Biden picked Kamala. Pleasantly surprised because I thought he'd go with someone from a state that isn't a lock.
I'm surprised he picked a senator with the importance on winning back the senate but I guess if you pick one from a solidly blue state, it's not as much of a concern. I also expected someone from the midwest or a swing state though.
I was initially all #teamKamala, but recently I’d been leaning more towards Duckworth and Rice. I’m not disappointed, but I’m dreading the amount of Kamala bashing that’s rooted in her just being a take-no-bullshit strong woman (not that the bashers will phrase it that way).
Not to mention being a WOC. It's going to be ugly, but he picked someone that has the ability to weather it. At least I hope she can. Thank Jeff Goldblum it's less than a hundred days away.
Resistbot still lives! Text, tweet, or (FB) message "USPS" to 50409, and the bot will send letters supporting the post office to your representatives.
It's super easy to make me cry these days, but OMJG. Tears streaming down my face while listening to Michelle Obama. It's only been 4 years but feels like a lifetime ago.
Y'all. Why am I doing this to myself? The debate has barely started, and I already want to shoot myself in the face.
I remember this was brought up in some previous debate, but damn there needs to be a mute button.
D just said the same thing. “I’d refuse to moderate unless I could mute their mics.”
At least the VP debate will be a beautiful floor mopping.
P is catching up on news and news-snark. I have to say that based on 45's and his posse's info vomiting the last couple of days, I'm defo not voting Clinton or Obama this election!
@Lh718 what is your opinion on prop 23 (the dialysis one)? I don’t get it or why it’s on the ballot again. My inclination is to vote no but I want a medical person’s take on it.
Go with your inclination. On face, it sounds like it should be a good idea, but the costs involved far outweigh the benefits. It's still the same union going against the dialysis companies again with different demands.
Can it just be November 4th already so all this political shit will be over (and fingers crossed we don’t wake up still in this nightmare)?? I already voted and I’m tired of seeing the ads and getting them in the mail. We’re getting at least 3-4 election ads every.single.day. Ugh. I also start second guessing my vote when I keep seeing the ads even though I did research and know I made the right choices.
