Oh wait there's also this photo of selfies? I'm truly worried. My rooster is in a wedding with her as the photographer.
Their engagement photos were fairly normal so we're both hoping the same approach is taken here. If they do any weird pole humping shots he's going to be the guy on the bottom left who is like "wtf is happening".
I was flipping through her website when this thread first popped up and I recall seeing one with the men of the wedding party (ring bearer included) with their pants off in a water fountain, their undies and the top half of their tuxes was still on. I gotta go see if I can find it. ETA: Damn, no luck. I am kicking myself that I didn't grab it when I first saw it.
I love this thread. I can't believe she's a real person and that your rooster is going to work with her. YAY! I think the one at the top of this page with the cell phone selfies over the faces is actually adorable and very on the nose with the face-in-your-phone tendencies of today. Or like, that your "true" self is how you appear on your phone/online/with a filter. That's probably not what Carol was going for, but I love it.
Can I still like it tho? ETA: And also this is really nitpicky but I'd like to see a talented photographer do that shot but have the subjects hold the phones far enough away from their faces that in the photo, you get the perspective of the photo of the face fitting/suiting the body. Ya know? And if it were my selfie, I'd be looking at the person next to me and making a face.
This is amazing, I can't get enough. Please don't stop Carol!!! @Zoomzoom I'm just amazed that normal people would view her portfolio and think, "Yes, this is how I want our love to be captured." Are they normal people?!
@bluevalentine for the most part. I think price was a big factor for them though I believe I suggested a cheap photographer who does way nicer work. The bride's not from Canada originally though so not sure if that has an impact on her tastes?
Oh my Jeff Goldblum, the picture of the bride reflected in the old flatscreen TV ... I cannot stop IRL laughing
The TV one is hilarious! The selfie one also makes me laugh, but I have to admit she managed to get an actually cute photo.
Whenever I browse the forum with my glasses off, I think the title of this thread is "Please stop, Canal" and I think, oh no, what did I do?
The one of just the dude with his cell phone in a field cracked me up, as did the TV one. I love this lady. ...and I can't effing wait to hear what she's like in person. Your rooster should be prepared with a list of pose ideas. Created by us.
This photo is bad enough. But then she does some truly bad Photoshop to a slightly different version of it:
WTF is going on here? Also, who would EVER IN THE HISTORY OF EARTH look at this one and go "YEP, this is a great example of what I am capable of, people will hire me based on this!"
It just looks like she's a mediocre photographer that makes a name for herself but having people acting silly in her photos so it probably translates to people who want silly photos and will forgive her not being a great photographer. Aside from the subjects looking moronic, there's nothing stunning or horrendous in the photos it's just sort of blah.
