Now my NEP is that nailpolishcanada doesn't really carry ILNP.
I was going to just order off their US site. But does one need 10 nail polishes to get free shipping to Canada?? Hahaha.
And now, after sorting through my current polish, I have realized that most of the colors I m drawn to I already have something very similar hahaha. So maybe I’ll try to limit myself to only a few different ones, if shipping isn’t too crazy.
I paint my fingernails pretty much weekly and I still do that.
Exactly. I don't care enough to take the time to do it perfectly and just fix it before anyone else sees.
When I paint my own nails it’s beyond a shower repair job.
OMJG our IKEA delivery got delayed from 7/7 to 8/11. I mean at least we know they know it didn’t arrive since we couldn’t talk to anyone but dang. We were hoping to clear out and move a lot of things around in the house so we can get the nursery going but oh well. It’ll probably get delivered when I’m in labor.
Apparently one of my coworkers ran home to build the crib while his wife was in early labour. Their son wasn't even all that early either.
One of my patients did this! Baby was a week early and ended up with jaundice bad enough for phototherapy by day 3. Unfortunately, mom had to be discharged that day because she had stayed the max nights already. She was super chill about it since her oldest had the same thing happen. She and papa went home to finish the crib and get some sleep, came back the next afternoon after baby was pronounced well enough to go home.
We finally got the "hey can you please keep C from drumming in the living room during business hours" text from our downstairs neighbors. I get it, 110%, but that's one of the activities that can keep him occupied for over 20 minutes at a time. Just need to keep placing him in the kitchen or back in his room.
Got a package delivery notification so I walked to the office to get it (about 4 blocks) brought it back, took my normal walk route (about 2 Miles), got home and have another package notification! Now I gotta go back to the office.
In our house we call that extra-cise!
NEP 2, went to get a cup of water after getting back from getting the second package and J left, literally, 2 tablespoons of water in the water pitcher.
We ordered sushi for dinner and 3 of the 4 things I wanted were out of stock!! Luckily the 3 replacements I picked were all delicious!
what were the replacements
I tried to get:
Ceviche-Style Hirame - olive flounder topped with cucumber, pickled shallots, cilantro, aji limo, lime juice and black pepper
The Iguana- shrimp tempura, crab and tampico mix, serrano, eel, avocado, soy paper, cucumber wrap, ponzu and eel sauces
Green Goddess - spicy tomato tuna, cucumber, cilantro, shallot, avocado, black tobiko caviart, ponzu sauce - they have a whole vegan sushi menu that is all really good!
but had to get:
Tuna Tataki - pepper seared bigeye tuna topped with daikon momiji, garlic chips, scallion and tataki sauce
The Beach* -seared albacore, spicy bigeye tuna, spicy crab mix, burdock root, avocado, cilantro, serrano, ponzu sauce
V.L.T. - bibb lettuce, cucumber, cherry tomato, avocado, shallot, smoked tomato paper, maldon sea salt, vegan mayo
we also had:
Crunchy L.A. - crab mix, avocado, cucumber, crispy panko, sweet chili sauce
Thriller - shrimp tempura, spicy crab mix, togarashi, ponzu and creamy thriller sauces
Itchy Salmon - baked atlantic salmon on top of spicy crab mix, topped with serrano, cilantro and ponzu sauce
It was all so good and they honored happy hour prices for togo sushi so it was relatively cheap too!
Two of my favorite authors put out weekly serials, and I wish I could just finish their stories already, because they’re good.
I need several beers but halfway through one I have a headache.
Wow that all sounds so delicious, I’m jealous. Especially the ceviche style.
We’ve had the ceviche style before and it was awesome. It’s such an interesting combination on the thin slice of fish.
I had a similar issue two nights/mornings lately. We drank red wine, nothing fancy but not two buck chuck either, and I was okay all night. The next morning, I woke up feeling very ill like I was just hit with the flu. Obvi I'm panicked thinking it's covid. After a few hours of drinking water and monitoring my symptoms, symptoms all went away. Huh, weird. Another night, another red wine. Same damn thing happened the next morning.
I had a cocktail last night to see if it was just any alcohol. Nope, all fine today.
We're going to do one more run with a third red wine tomorrow night to test the hypothesis. If it happens again, I will be very very sad about not being able to drink red wine for a while. Maybe we'll also try a white wine next week.
This happens to me because I have an alcohol intolerance
It's usually histamines that cause headaches. Pinots have less. Cabs have the most. Or take an antihistamine beforehand.
