How are the property lines unknown? Shouldn’t that be something they can look up at the county office or something? It kind of sounds like a scam where the renters are trying to make a quick buck.
Since there’s also a shared water meter (?), my guess is multiple houses were thrown on a single lot without filing a subdivision plan / going to the ZBA.
