Seconding FN's animal suggestions. I'm not overly familiar with desert climates but some other possibilities: burrowing owl, hawk, bighorn sheep, and apparently bobcats can live in the desert which E might be into.

I can see where you're getting that, but I think it's just doing what rabbits do. I don't think the owl or deer necessarily look too woodland with the coyote and roadrunner.

    Maybe too different?

I think the rabbit or horse(s) would work really well especially with the coyote and roadrunner.

As for the painting, it is gorgeous! It would be an amazing focal point for the landscape wall. What do you mean by too thin though? Like I get the dimensions aren't what you want. Is part of the aesthetic the sizes and orientations of the art?

Come on, people. I can’t believe none of you have suggested a jackalope yet.

I don’t have a super eye for art but yeah, I feel it’s a bit of a different feel if it’s longer and thinner versus a thicker 16x20 or something. I’m just thinking if it with the mat and frame, since it will likely be on a wall by itself I don’t want it to feel incomplete.

I’ve thought about how I could put the thinner landscape over the changing table instead of the blank wall but I like the animals over the changer since that’s more interesting for the kiddo to look at.
