Isn't there a name for this "style" of nail? Seems like we've talked about it before. I've never seen one in person, but EW.
They're called "duck nails" or "duck feet nails". Why anyone would want to emulate a duck's feet with their fingernails is beyond my comprehension.
If my pointer fingers have more than two weeks' growth, it's a pain in the ass to get my contacts out. (I know I managed in the couple of weeks before and after the wedding, but, like the full-on Brazilian wax I had done, it was something that would never be done again.) And the proposal photos look like crap. Honey, does Disneyland have PhotoPass? (And if you're doing "duck nails" on a Disney visit, go full Donald or Daisy. Really.)
Yeah, Disneyland does have Photopass. Although in my experience, Photopass photographers on both coasts are pretty hit or miss. Some know what they're doing, and those placed at Sleeping Beauty Castle probably should, but some are just monkeys with DSLRs. Still, I suspect these were taken by a friend or another guest.
This one is from one of the Disney message boards, but it's so pathetic that I had to share it anyway:
I get that it is supposed to be Mickey on her ring finger, but it just looks like she spilled black paint. Also thick French tips make fingers look stubby. People need to stop with those.
Thick tips can look good if you have a little length, but that lady has nails that are cut to the quick in the first place. Her fingernails look like toenails.
And the shaping is uneven, and her cuticles, o.m.g. her cuticles... There is just nothing at all good going on in that picture at all. I'm personally offended by its very existence.
My nails rarely look good. That is why I don't photograph them and post them on the interests. She needs to learn that lesson.
And they're all like veering off to the side. I hope she did them herself because I'd be pissed if I paid for that.
