What have you been crafting? Anyone else spend way more on craft supplies than you ever would just to go buy a wreath for the front door? Yarn is my weakness, I have soooo much and I can't resist it. I like to crochet baby stuff, blankets, just about anything I can find a cute pattern for. Just shipped this to my niece for V-Day. Was harder than I thought it'd be but turned out super cute.
I'm a knitter. I literally have a stack of scarves I've been meaning to send to chickens. Tomorrow, I promise!!! I have more yarn than I know what to do with. I buy it without any project in mind just because it's so pretty!
That's really cute. I have been making my own hot pads since I was a little kid and I can cross-stitch. That's about it. I am determined to learn how to knit or crochet. They both seem like such soothing activities.
Yarnaholics. I hide it from my husband. He's such a good sport, he has no idea how much is really in the house, and he still goes with me to buy it so we can each use a coupon.
My husband organized my yarn in a large 9 drawer dresser and made me promise not to buy more until I used it all up. I've broken that promise three times in the last two month, oops!
I scrapbook. I will literally go wild in a store. So! Much! Pretty! Paper! Most of my supplies come from Creative Memories.
It's amazing how quickly you can pull these things up! I feel some pukey gif action might be imminent.
I do not scrapbook, but have stacks of paper. Because I'm going to make all the cute homemade cards on Pinterest one day. I did make invites for a baby shower and a banner, but that used not 1/4 of one book, of which I have several and a big stack of loose paper. And a few punches.
Have you tried YouTube? There's an old lady who has a great channel for beginners but I forget her name. She describes herself as a knitter to the stars because some of her stuff was used in old sitcoms lol
Although I worked in art supply and craft stores for way too many years, and can easily spend hours in Hobby Lobby, I'm not a dedicated crafter. I just like taking functional things and making them pretty. Like, recently I was looking for some wall hooks for our office so that we could hang our headphones on them. I saw some basic hooks, but then thought, "I can probably find something cooler than this." So I found some animal shaped hooks at Hobby Lobby and then painted them fun colors. That's the extent of my crafting. They're dry now but not hanging up yet.
I envy you crafty people. The craftiest thing I’ve done recently was 3 years ago when I DIY’d our wedding stationery. I really want to learn to sew but we don’t have the space in our apartment for all of that. I can hand sew small things like repairing tears at the seam or shortening tank top straps. I want to sew my own pants though.
All of this. I can be crafty in bursts and with specific projects like wedding diy but not on a regular basis. Like you, Virgo, I'd love to learn how to sew my own clothes.
OMJG TA. SHUT UP with that adorable ass outfit. The bottom! The heart buttons! I love I'm a gift crafter. My big project last Christmas was making everyone mini faux Polaroid fridge magnets. I really want to learn how to knit and sew, but both are intimidating to me!
I'm not sure if this is really a craft, but it's one of my only hobbies. Right now I'm working on building bookcases and cabinets for built-ins.
Thx taco. I love gift crafting too. No one wants to sew pants, they're such a pain! I haven't really sewed anything in years, my machine needs a tuneup, haha. Honey I like your style.
