S's parents got the Pfizer vaccine, and were totally fine after both rounds, so I hope you feel the same, @virgo.

Pro tip - do not read sad stories about animals on your lunch break. Unless you're cool with everyone seeing you cry.

I don’t know where to put a post about a hypocritical neighbor (not really a good fences story) so here it goes. Our downstairs neighbor has a cute dog but the neighbor is one of those bad pet owners that lets the dog off leash all the time. The dog is always in other people’s yards on our block. So not long ago, some of the neighbor kids were playing on our property. Not down at the sidewalk but all the way up on the property and they were running up and down the path that goes past front doors. I almost went to talk to them but I would’ve had to get dressed and I’m lazy so. This neighbor was talking to me a few days later and said she talked to the mom next door about it and said it wasn’t ok for the kids to be on our property. In my head, I lol’d because that’s really rich coming from the person who lets her dog all up on their property every day. I’m sure the mom thought the same thing.

Also, got my second shot yesterday. Had fever and chills last night. Today I was just really tired but I’m feeling much better now. So glad it’s over!

Ok I need to amend my side effects statement. I thought I was feeling ok but the fatigue stuck around until yesterday! I felt like crap up until yesterday morning when it finally started going away. Google doesn’t say anything about it lasting that long but I took an unscientific poll of people I know who had the 2nd shot and there were some women who had side effects for a week. So, those of you who haven’t gotten it yet, just know if the fatigue lasts a week then you’re not going crazy.

I already scheduled myself off for the day of and the day after my second shot (4/6, yay!). If I get sick, I can just lie in bed and watch Gilmore Girls. If I don’t get sick ... same plan tbh.

P had the same longer hangover @virgo . His side effects were way milder than mine, but he was feeling rundown until late yesterday. That's almost 6 full days post shot.

I'm getting wild today, y'all. I peed in the OTHER stall in the staff bathroom.

Fry and my FIL are currently playing Sudoku. Fry’s entering numbers faster than grandpa can keep up with, and they’re getting annoyed with each other.

Rooster gave me this update before scurrying off to fulfill the role of mediator.

Also, Minnow slept all night last night. I’m not smug about it because I know this is some dumb luck unicorn thing, just manically grateful

The other day when I was walking home from the bus, my neighbor’s kid stopped his bike to say “thank you for helping, doctor” and I nearly cried because kids are the best.

I also bribed one with two Moana stickers and two Elsa ones because I had to do a rectal exam on her so. Glamorous.

I was chatting with my MIL yesterday and I mentioned that I’m starting to go for long lasting higher quality stuff. This led to her talking about her favorites, and then she offered to get me a Le Creuset piece of my color and choice when I’m ready.

I’ve never owned one, only vaguely knew they were pretty and pricey and people swear by them. Still, I got sticker shock and am floored by the generosity of the offer.

    It really is!

I’m thinking I’m most likely to use the braiser, but it’s pricey enough I want to sit on it a while before choosing.

We have a few pieces (from outlets! Much cheaper) but we use the 6.75 qt Dutch oven the most. I think we’ve only used the 3.5 qt twice. A braiser would be nice too! They’re definitely an investment but worth it. We loooove ours. The real question though is what color? :loveu:

Mine are all Lodges and they are doing great.

I use my braiser the most for sure. After that probably the 4.5 qt Dutch oven because it is a good size for soups and breads and small roasts, so it's very versatile.

I also have a 3 which I use for smaller soups (while I do the bread in the 4.5) and a 7 which I use for making stocks or large batches of things like chili. Plus a collection of various skillets lol. I do 99% of my cooking in cast iron, it is life.

But before I got distracted I was supporting your choice of the braiser. Mine is the most used item in my kitchen, hands down.

We use our 5 qt one and it’s a good size for our family. Great for braising, bread, soups and stews, chili, etc. The other thing I always forget is how damn heavy they are though, so just be aware of that - by the time you fill it with whatever, it can be pretty heavy lol.

Woman’s nursing pad falls out in the night. You won’t believe what happens next!

I guess the good thing here is that my boobs were bursting because baby was a gem and slept through the night. I’ll take it, but this was my last clean nursing nightgown.
