I sent my friend a few baby gifts, and tried to keep things practical but couldn’t resist when I saw this: Her husband took one look at it and said “Fish sent this, didn’t she?”
I won money in my work fantasy football league (more than I paid in)!! I was in 1st going into playoffs but lost both games to end up 4th but I had the most points for the season so I won that prize.
I just plunked a lot of money down for some Dodgers championship memorabilia for P's bday. My head is reeling.
Trying to pick a bridesmaid dress for my brothers wedding and all the options suck. Plus the color is dusty rose so I’ll look super washed out and the wedding is outside in August in Tennessee and it has to be floor length. Why does every dress with decent straps (so I could wear a normal bra) have a weird plunge or open back so I can’t wear a normal bra?
I do hate that about fancy dresses. I just want to wear a decent bra to hold up my boobs! It should not be this hard. There are plenty of dressier neckline options that have enough coverage for that.
That is actually one of my top choices, she said "whatever we want as long as it's floor length" so I think that counts. I've found some before, but we're using Azazie and they don't seem to have as many options. The necklines look like they will be perfect, and I look at the back and it's like fully open with some crisscross spaghetti straps or something weird. J even commented that the backs on some don't really match the style of the front. I've narrowed it down to 4 options, you can order up to 3 and get them sent to you to try on so I will probably do that. Dress 1 - this and dress 2 seem like safer options for what shape would work for me. Dress 2 Dress 3 - This is my favorite but not sure if it would look frumpy on me or weird Dress 4 - J picked this one, I have 1 other dress with 1 strap that he really likes so he wants to see this one.
1 is my least favorite but that’s based on what works for me. I think you can definitely find appropriate undergarments for any of those though.
Opposite CW. 1 is my favorite because I find that style super flattering on me. 2 seems most bra-friendly.
I really love #2. I love the style on the front and it seems like it would be fairly easy to wear a normal bra (or get one of those low back converter things for a normal bra).
I like them all, 1 and 2 are my favorites. 3 seems like a dress that could be hit or miss in person, 4 is quite elegant.
I’ve made an observation about people on cell phones since the SIP started. Our front window is huge so when I’m sitting on the couch I can see everyone who walks by. Random people on phones seem to like this block because they’ll be walking/talking and then just start pacing back and forth in front of a couple of houses, completely unaware of anything other than their call. I’m watching some lady do this right now. She has decided to sit on my neighbors brick wall and continue her call. Like, you don’t live here. Please don’t sit on other people’s walls while we’re still in a pandemic. Oh and she’s not wearing a mask. These people are prime targets for robbers and then wonder why they were targeted. Oy.
At least they aren’t walking into traffic or open manholes while on their phone. Also I don’t wear a mask when I walk around the neighborhood. We have plenty of space to give at least 6’ though I suppose.
Yeah, I usually have a mask in pocket while I walk, but I don't put it on if keeping a 6+ foot berth is possible.
I usually don’t walk with a mask if it’s low density. I put my mask on and/or give people extra distance if I see people heading towards my vicinity. Outside, the virus doesn’t seem to be quite as contagious. Indoors and crowded places are a different story, but we generally avoid those situations anyways. We’ve canned a few outings when we’ve seen a crowded parking lot.
TJ’s is so annoying. Yeah there’s plenty of room inside since they limit it but standing in line for half an hour isn’t great.
We usually don’t wear a mask when walking either but have one to put on when there’s someone coming. My county mandates masks within 30ft of other people. They basically want people to put the mask on as soon as you see another person so that way by the time you’re 6ft apart, both parties have a mask on (I think they overestimate how fast people walk). This lady wasn’t even trying to move away from people walking down the street nor did she ever have a mask ready to put on. She was being rude. It’s weird because we don’t live on a major street but it’s pretty popular for walking and bike riding so there are always people going by.
