Why is it a problem that her 5 year old hates babies? Serious question.
@Lh718 I guess it was an issue because she would get physically aggressive with them, and she has a cousin on the way.
My brother got tested for COVID on Tuesday (10th) and got positive results on Friday (13th.) His wedding is the 29th. I found out from my sister but brother and his fiancee haven’t told anyone else yet because they’re “deciding what to do.” Oh, and he lied to me about being fully vaxxed. He was going to get his second shot on the 10th but they wouldn’t since he needed tested. His rapid was negative so they gave him the shot on the 12th but then the PCR was positive. He is symptomatic but is apparently blaming it on the vaccine side effects not COVID. This is after he was being a dick when I suggested people wear masks in common areas of the cabin everyone is staying in for the wedding. He told me I need to “respect other people’s opinions” about COVID. But I don’t and if it’s not wearing a mask or not getting vaxxed is your opinion then go fuck yourself. I’m not going. I guess I’ll return the shoes and try to sell the bridesmaid dress but I’m not getting COVID because he’s irresponsible.
I'm sorry @Imabug1002 . That's all a huge pile of crap to deal with.
I’m sorry, bug. That’s a shitty situation.
Unless he gets really sick he shouldn’t be infectious by then but I still wouldn’t trust any of them! That really sucks.
Yeah I wouldn’t think he would be infectious by then but I doubt they’re taking precautions at home so she could get it. Plus some of her family is going down next week and they still hung out with friends and she went to work when his rapid was negative so there’s a chance they pass it to someone else who is infectious by the wedding. Ugh
Yup, exactly. It’s super shitty that you can’t trust your family, but clearly you can’t. Thank goodness your sister told you.
I keep saying "respect other people's opinions on covid" to myself and laughing and screaming in turns.
Right? I have to respect theirs but they don’t have to respect mine? I was also just asked to venmo money for hair and makeup so I guess they’re still going on with it.
We got a DoorDash delivery for lunch...that we didn't order. I called our office and chatted with DoorDash to no avail. Duh me, call the restaurant. They said they had already received the order to fix it and to keep our food. Yay us I guess.
Hilariously, the food is for someone named LH. P said it was meant to be.
I’m sorry Bug but I’m also glad you’re not going.
I was super excited to see Green Day and Weezer at the end of this month but Tre Cool posted pics of some of the concerts so far and it’s a Covid cesspool. Shoulder to shoulder and nobody wearing masks. The SF show is in an open air stadium but still. No thanks. I sold our tickets.
That sucks Virgo. We really want to get back to concerts and live events but everything looks so crazy, it’s not worth the risk.
It hella sucks but yeah, definitely not worth the risk. At least I’ve seen them before so there’s that.
I cleaned a bunch of plant pots and tools in bleach yesterday and didn't use gloves. The bleach seems to have obliterated my fingerprints! My phone cannot recognize my right hand fingers at all, and my left index needs to be smashed super flat. I access meds at work with my right index. Tomorrow is going to be interesting.
I’m guilty of not using gloves when I know I should, and this is a reminder. @Lh718 your fingerprints died so that we may be saved.
Rooster seems really surprised by how much we’re packing for an 8 day trip. IMO two suitcases plus individual carry-ons for a family of 4 (1 of which is a baby and requires a shit-ton of stuff) is pretty reasonable. Also good sir, cut me some slack over anything you see as overstuffed as I packed for 3 people and did the hard part, and wanted to leave room in the suitcase for your stuff. You only have to pack for yourself.
@Afishwish that actually sounds like less than I would expect for an 8 day trip so idk why he’s surprised. I say you did an amazing job packing!
Next time, he can pack for the kids @Afishwish
That would be a Pyrrhic victory and not worth it.
P told me today that one conspiracy theory claims the vaccine magnetizes our bodies. I'm still trying to figure out why exactly this is a bad thing.
There is a video of someone who claims this presenting in front of a school board or something similar who keeps trying to stick a key to herself because she’s “magnetic” and it keeps falling off.
We’re on vacation, and it’s been amazing.
Less amazing, Fry has been puking for the last couple hours, and the on site doc says it’s a bug going around. Poor buddy has been really upset, but at least had some anti-nausea meds. Because parents always get the nuclear version of what ails their kids, I’m sure tomorrow’s going to be great.
Annnd we’re all sick right now, with one bathroom. Someone had to puke in the tub, and that someone was me.
Oh no, family puking is the worst. Feel better soon, fish fam.
