I will buy it on iTunes probably because I'm lazy. Is that the movie for sure?

I'll send you some of mine when we move. :p My rooster told me I had to cut down on all the shit I own because he doesn't want to pay to ship it cross-country.

True. But I figure shipping a few items to a few people as small gifts or whatever has to be cheaper than shipping an entire apartment full of crap all the way across Canada.

Actually, I've been thinking I should make an "up for grabs" thread in case anyone actually does want some of my stuff. It'll probably be mostly crappy DVDs and (unused) makeup, since I'm not shipping bookshelves or kitchen tables to anyone, sorry not sorry, but is that worthwhile?

    Re: Chicken Movie Club

Might as well. Better than what happens when I move. I pack 3 or 4 boxes, get sick of it and then just start throwing stuff out or selling it. Hmmm...probably why we have no movies because I dumped them all at Half Price books before we moved.

    Re: Chicken Movie Club

That might happen. But it can't hurt to at least offer. And I'm pretty sure my rooster would prefer me to get rid of literally everything, because he has no soul.

    Used panty sale, anyone?

What does he want to do? Sell everything and just get all new? If you're going to be packing clothes and dishes and stuff like that anyway, you might as well box up the DVDs and other collectibles. Just sell the furniture.

    Re: Chicken Movie Club

What time is 5 pm for me? 8? That's perfect.

Basically, yeah. He wants to leave everything and just buy a new couch and whatever when we get there. I'm putting my foot down on my collectibles (which includes a bunch of books and DVDs) so he knows he isn't getting off scott-free on this. But I did promise to look through my stuff and be a little more critical than usual.

I actually even considered opening the door and having a "free yard sale" type thing where friends and neighbours could just come in and haul stuff away, like the kitchen table and things like that. Good idea? Bad? I'm such a hoarder, I've never done anything like this before.

I thought I had answered this in another thread, but yes, 8pm is good!

We shoved all of ours in storage. It was an awful decision; don't do that. D's brother is actually packing it all up to send to us in one of those U-Haul pods today and tomorrow. I'm getting my books and DVDs back! And the framed art! Oh, goodness, the framed art.

Undecided. Rooster has a lot of basketball to watch, and I have to get him to acquire said movie for me if I want to watch it. Also might be out drinking with girlfriend.

    Re: Chicken Movie Club

Oh he would NEVER pay for storing all my stuff. I think I mentioned storing a few things (like books, because that is going to be the bulk of our costs) and bringing it over in smaller blocks to spread out the shipping costs, and he gave me a "ju kiddin' bitch?" look even at that. This guy literally moved in with me from the other side of the country with two army duffel bags. I'm not even kidding. He would leave it ALL behind if I'd let him.

But I'm bringing the art and framed collectibles right away. When we first moved into where we are now I had it all stacked in a corner for months. Finally just got around to hanging the last of it (that had frames, I still have a few things that need custom frames I haven't done yet) before Christmas. I refuse to do that again.

    Re: Chicken Movie Club

I have a bunch of stuff that needs framing too. It kills me that I haven't done it yet, but I don't have the larger equipment (like a glass cutter and a v-nailer) at home, and I can't bring myself to pay someone else to do it. I wish I could pick up a part-time framing job just so I can be in a shop again, but I hit up all the local shops all the time and they all know me, but never seem to need an extra hand.

    Re: Chicken Movie Club

I'm just so cheap and poor, and custom frames are so expensive! I found a website that will send you materials to fit so you can assemble yourself, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I guess there's no point doing it until after the move now, since shipping things in cylinders will be cheaper and safer than glass frames. Haha - get into a frame shop and I'll bring them down to you!

If you decide to go the online route and need any tips when it comes time to assemble, I'll be happy to help.

I want to be part of this, but not sure what time I'll be home. My cousins are coming into town to visit my grandma in the hospital, so we are doing dinner. Not sure what time yet though. If I'm home though, I'm in!

Let us know when you guys find out. 6pm MDT might be tough with a dinner date, but I'm sure I can speak for everyone when I say we'd all be willing to wait a little longer for you.
