Do you have any couples game recommendations? Trying to think of a game to get J for Valentine's day that we can play together for a date night in. I think we'd both prefer laughs over anything meant to be too steamy. A little sexual/intimate is ok, but neither of us are particularly adventurous in that department so I don't want it to be something toooo heavy on that.
We got this escape room game at a white elephant Christmas party. It has 5 different scenarios with various puzzles. P and I have been doing them together, it's kind of corny but it's fun.
We want to get my friend who was just diagnosed with cancer some gifts. I know based on our gossipy husbands that we have similarly (mostly trashy) Kindle tastes, but I’m not sure if she’s more of a pure romance trashy or fantasy trashy like I am. She also likes ballet and attends PNW shows. Anyone have ideas? Or just nice care package ideas for someone who will be on chemo and have major surgery in the coming months, OR just a nice cheer up gift?
Don't know if this is cost prohibitive, but you could prepay a few months of Kindle Unlimited or whatever it's called.
@Chevere ooo she does like spas, that’s a good thought @Lh718 that’s a good idea, too. I’ll have to see if she has it.
@Comet also just some good balls to smack around like the kickball material style. Bubble maker/bubble lawnmower is also a hit!
Bubble lawnmower rocks for when he’s old enough to push without just face planting (not sure if C is there yet, I don’t think E was yet). He would probably still think it’s awesome if you helped walk with him. Regular bubbles is fun too though I’m admittedly horrible at it. Kiddy pool in the yard with little toys like rubber ducks, a dispersed sprinkler/hose head so he can play in the “rain”, light bouncy ball. We never had a water table but I wish I had gotten one. I wouldn’t want to clean up the mess but you live the beach life, maybe kiddy pool with sand and sand toys? Just sitting outside on a blanket with toys and frozen or super cold snacks is nice too.
A ride on scooter? Both my nieces and my nephews had one at that age and they LOVED them. Especially since the little seat opened so they'd stop and pick up rocks or twigs or whatever and put it in the "trunk"
D LOVES his little ride on push car. He got it I think when he was 1.5. It has definitely stood the test of time, compared to some other toys. Even S plays with it sometimes This is the one we have. The lift up seat is a great feature, like hello said.
OOOH I forgot about the little push/ride on car. That would be perfect. E LOVED that thing, very similar to what @Kimmers posted. E played with it in the house everyday until she was too big for it snd it threatened to flip and we finally put it in the garage
Oh, yeah, my kids loved the shopping cart. I didn't but our apartment is small and I found it hard to put away. And the one we had flipped a lot for the unsteady walkers putting too much weight on the handle. The car we have as a little wedge thing underneath that does a really good job of preventing that from happening
M is 2 and has been wizzing around a shopping cart in this house for the past 2 fucking weeks. Who can forget the shopping cart!
You know what else is good, a baby doll & stroller. L loved hers as soon as she could walk a little and she’s still crazy about it. Loves popping Baby Stella in there and zooming around the house. She loves that doll too and is constantly giving her hugs/kisses, feeding her, shushing her to sleep.
