We are the exact opposite. We have a girl name picked out and several back up girl names. Boy names though. I feel like I dislike everything and even the few that I think are okay they just don't feel right.
I like Maya, Norah, Penelope. He hasn’t found a girl name he likes yet aside from Ella, which we can’t use for obvious reasons.
Our girl name is Ruth. Fingers crossed it is still first choice for both of us when/if we have a daughter. We also both like Margaret and Anne For boys though, either what we like is too popular so do won't want to use it or one of our close friends or family have already named a child it. For your boy names - Elliott is my best friends sons name, Benjamin is too popular for me to want to use it and Adam is TG's name The few boys names that I like TG turns his nose up at.
@moose I don't think your tastes are all that far apart either. Maya and Norah fall in with Ella as fairly similar. Hmm. If it's the L sound he likes maybe something like Mila or Nola would work. Mia? Or one I like that's similar: Nova
I am here for Cora, but our last name is also a hard C and we don’t like alliterative names with C. Otherwise I would’ve pushed for Caroline or Claire.
Just some names that you might like. Some more similar to the names you listed than others. Ava Hazel Ivy Isla Sienna Stella Madeleine Emilia Mae
I like Arlo as a girls name too but I can’t get A on board. I googled can Arlo be a girls name and then I say that Leighton meister named her daughter that so I am going to keep pushing for it lol
Hazel seconds Hazel as a good name. She adds that it is best said when followed directly by a treat and worst when you have finally found something interesting and mom calls that "not food."
I know you probably mean, like, for work, but I'm just imagining a pibble named Claribel carefully drawing up her application to come live at HBC's Pibble Paradise.
We sat down and named our embryos yesterday. Basically we listed out our top 6 names for girls and top 2 names for boys. It was fun and it was really nice to be able to do a "normal" (ish. normal-ish) thing as our journey to parenthood has been anything but.
Love those! Amelia was one of my favorites but N wasn’t into it at all. Same with Eleanor nickname Nora. I have a soft spot for Ava because I used to nanny for a girl with that name and she was really sweet. Noah is great too. Basically you have excellent taste in names haha.
