The dog is not feeling well and/or is in some kind of mood because he has been so extra growly and even snapped at P. He also peed right the fuck next to my chair last night. We're going to the ND-Stanford game, and I have never been so glad to get away from a dog before.
Omg she had a blast. Soooo many kids - W kept having to walk to the side of the route so she could get petted. One kid yelled out “it’s a Democrat dog!!!” and I died.
Ben discovered my Baby’s 1st Christmas ornament and decided it was better than his Starbucks ornament.
Got to visit with a highschool friend this weekend and Vixen got to meet this little cream puff! Her name is Roxy.
My apologies if this all repetitive @allmaple . Re: joint supplements like Movon, are they also good for seasonal needs? Now that it's colder here, Ryder is less excited about walks and seems to take longer to recover afterwards plus to get out of bed in the mornings. He's been doing really well with Cosequin and has been on maintenance dosing for many months now with no issue.
Weather changes can definitely affect arthritis. While Movoflex and Cosequin are different I'm not sure if multiple joint supplements is beneficial. Maybe discuss pain meds or anti-inflammatories with his vet for bad days?
Mags takes cosequin every day (and we can tell if she misses too many days) and has an NSAID for bad (aka noticeably slow or limping despite cosequin) days. When she came to us as a chonk, she was on only the NSAID as a scheduled med. I think it’s worth exploring cosequin or other daily supplement in addition to occasional meds if needed.
Thanks ladies. I'll be back home on Monday and will make an appt with the vet for then/Tues. He needs a cytopoint shot also anyways or a good look inside his ears.
I think kitty has fleas . We have been using Advantage II since we got him but maybe it isn't working anymore? What recommendations do the chickens have on kitty flea treatments?
Penny and Sheldon are on Revolution Plus. They only really go outside on the patio when it's nice out. Also in case Vixen brings anything into the house even though she's on prevention too.
Not treatments but - vacuum everything, vacuum daily, wash kitty bedding in hot water. SO FAR Ryder has been okay, but August caught fleas a couple of times, totes my fault. I nipped it early each time.
@Lh718 we've been vacuuming the carpet but I should probably do the furniture too. I haven't found any on us but he's been scratching a lot, he's due for vaccines anyway so I'll ask about the Revolution Plus when we take him in. Thank you guys!
The friend I’m staying with this weekend just got a new puppy. His name is Manny. I’ll be taking many pictures of Manny-centric adventures for y’all.
I’m sure it’s weird to find out I’ll be staying on your couch like this but I’ll be there in two hours.
I don’t get home until later, but the key is in the ~secret hider spot~ let yourself in. And the dogs have all been fed no matter what they (Magnolia) tell you.
She opens the closet door where the food is and then stands in her kennel and gives her little off-key barks. Sometimes stomps her feet for emphasis.
