She’s a good girl even if she’s a hot mess at times. I will warn daycare that she’s extra snoozy today.
@Canaligator Try this training program for relaxation: https://journeydogtraining.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/ProtocolforRelaxation.pdf
That looks great, thank you! I did various things to distract her - walking with me down the hall to take the garbage out, doing her treat puzzle, Kong with peanut butter... in those moments I could see that being focused on something else was helping her, but this program sounds great for a more sustained campaign.
So Ben did not like the heated bed. It came today so I decided to give it to him early and he wanted nothing to do with it. The heating pad I use for my back gives off more heat on the lowest setting than the bed does. I think he just couldn’t feel the warmth in the heated bed. Returning tomorrow. @Canaligator I’m glad Lucy was feeling better today.
The mutts went to see Santa yesterday at a fundraiser. Magnolia Manny Milton Astrid ended up being scared of Santa so I didn’t make her take a photo, but here’s she is in the car beforehand all excited:
Milton looks Soo happy. Such a good boy (i mean they're all great of course but he stole the show here)
Lucy puked up a hairball at 4am this morning (?!). I mean she is very cat like but this is taking it a bit far! She seemed 100% ok afterward, so she went to daycare and had a good day cuddling with her old, blind fren Tula the Dominican street dog.
We also found a sort of bougie pet store pretty close to home that has diy dog bathing for $12! We even got a special card that’s $50 for 5.
The dogs love their new beds so much they won’t come downstairs and have gone to bed w/o us. (60% off BF!)
Hazel is nervous in the car so Kit has spent this whole ride with her chin and paw on her sister’s back to calm her down. My heart.
