Just wait until he discovers it dipped in tomato soup!
Take him here someday: https://www.cheesies.com/menus/
And for college me, order the tenderizer and eat it when it's 3 AM and you're really drunk and you may have just told the delivery guy you love him.
@Erie posted earlier about her friend who paints houses. I commission one from her and it just arrived today. I need to get it printed but I have time. It is a gift for TG to celebrate one year in the house, so he won't know about it until August. I love it! Highly recommended, also. The artist exchanged several emails with me and took all of my requests. She even waited for our tree to blossom before finalizing it. Unfortunately, no big blossoms this year so I had to tell her to just go ahead.
(Is the picture showing up for anyone? It was there when I hit "post" but now I can't see it. Might be too large)
No pic for me
Picture is not showing up for me. It sounds amazing!
I have been told to play around with the resolution. Stand by
I don’t think it’s the resolution judging by your edit history. I don’t see that either version of your post ever had any kind of image attached. If the file was too big, the site would have warned you when you tried to upload it.
It did. I got an error message. I must have gotten it the first time I posted and just auto pilot clicked it away
Totally want to see this pic!
The city replaced our water meter and the box today! The guy said it was just too rickety to be useful anymore. I’m so glad because it was the one from the house that was here before... built in the first half of the last century, burned down, then this was a vacant lot for ~15 years before our house was built in 04. The damn thing was sunken, crooked, and half rusted and at the best of times was a trip hazard.
If you want me to post it (since you emailed me) I can!
yes, please! Not sure how to make it happen on my work computer.
Sorry was MIA all afternoon. @yesmaster ‘s beautiful house!! Details are somewhat lacking due to upload resolution but you get the gist of it!
My work sent me a cake! With a sweet “congrats on your baby” note. I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s a strawberries & cream bundt cake and looks good.
I was a little bummed about not socializing with my coworkers at lunch further into pregnancy, since I don’t have that much in common with them but they are moms. But cake and a sweet note helps.
ETA: It’s delicious.
Can I rave/brag about our electric company? I know it’s weird thing to rave about but I’m so impressed with them. We have our own electric company so we don’t deal with PG&E for that. I love AMP because they’re quick to respond to the rare outage we have on the island and they’re good about keeping the lines and poles maintained. Around 4:00 today, the power went out on our block. Turns out it went out for 12,000 customers. By 4:20 we all had our power back. That’s a huge amount of customers to get back in 20 minutes since they had to find the problem location and then fix the problem. It’s been super windy so I’m sure it had to do with that.
W took my car to work today because the weather was gorgeous - not only did he fill my gas tank (last filled sometime in February, probably), he washed it! (It was super covered in pollen and disgusting.) He can officially borrow my car any time haha.
It's amazing the length guys will go to to care for our cars, but yet the bathroom....
TRUE FACTS MA'AM!
I totally forgot to post about this because it’s potentially identifying but fuck it.
I got elected to the board of directors for Tampa Bay Beer Week last week! They (we?) are pivoting to a more “all year” focus and are rebranding as TBBAY (Tampa Bay Beer All Year). Tampa Bay Beer Week is one of the biggest and best beer weeks in the country (potentially the world), people travel from allllll over to go to some of the festivals that are part of it. I was the only woman elected, bringing the total up to 3 women involved which isn’t amazing but is better than it used to be. There were 4 of us newbies elected in, and I somehow got elected over brewery owners and other bigger names in the industry here. Very excited!
ETA: obviously none of those big festivals will happen for this TBBW in March sooooo it’s a huge challenge to figure out what to do to celebrate in the time of COVID.
Wow, way to go!!!!!
Congrats @Erie! That's so cool!!
Rock star chicharron!
You're amazing! Congratulations @Erie !
