I’ve been thinking about this all day and I just can’t pick.

So, in no particular order, my favs of all time:
    - Emperors New Groove
    - Aladdin
    - Zenon
    - Frozen
    - Lilo & Stitch
    - The Rescuers

For Pixar, definitely Toy Story 1 & 2 and Up.

Question of the Day for June 30:

This one’s from @whatchyagonnado! What will you name your next pet (or what’s a dream name for a pet you hope to get to use?)

A wants to get an orange cat and call him Gordon.

I think it's only fair we get a pair of cats and I can call the other one Tonic.

I previously wanted two orange cats called Arthur and Molly, but we’re planning a cat break in the future so it’ll be dogs only. N wants just one and I lean toward a pair, so it depends on that outcome, because if we got a pair I’d definitely choose names that are connected in some way. If we did just one I’d want a male called Pan (for Pantalaimon, Lyra’s daemon in The Golden Compass). Which would be perfect on multiple levels because I’m also a little bit obsessed with Peter Pan.

I want a blue/gray Frenchie named Truman. He will look so dapper in his bow tie collar he needs a fancy name.

I want either a girl dog named Winnie or a boy dog named Louie.

He needs a girlfriend. I want a female Frenchie with a ridiculously girlie name and a string of pearls for a collar. Her name will be Josephine (Josie) or Lulu or something.

I also really want a cat named Sammy Davis Jr. Jr.

If my next Icie pup is male he'll probably be Apollo, but that's not for several years. I have a document with a bunch of possible pup names. Athena is probably in the lead for a girl pup.

Not as sure about a cat, but Midna, Joker, and Hobbes would all be in contention.

I want a Bernese Mountain Dog named Haigo. It’s a very loose translation of Mandarin for good dog.

After Bacon and Ham, we plan to get another corgi and his name will be Ham Too. Our 4th corgi will be Napoleon.

I have to meet my dogs before I name them! Naming Astrid was kind of hard because she was a lump of puppy and didn’t really have her own features or personality yet. I do keep a running list of dog names I hear and like, but usually those get use in The rescue.

My next cat will probably be Toby II.

I kind of want a corgi named Winston.

Can confirm Winnie is a solid dog name, though it is weird to shorten it to "Win" lol. My friends all find themselves doing it and then are like, that's a weird way to shorten it, but there's no other way lol.

As for next pet names, we have always gone with very traditional American Southern first AND middle names for max ridiculousness. (Beauregard Reginald and Winifred Annabelle)

So I am not really sure what next pup's name will be. After having Winnie, I am team female dog only so I'm not sure what female names we'd toss around. K wants a pair of Jack Russell puppies  so if I ever give in on that it'll probably be a male/female pair, and obviously their names would have to go together.

Yeah, I actually don't have any pet names on the list! It's just so dependent on what they look like, and what their background is, and personality. Libby was older when we adopted her so J wanted her name to be similar to the name she had in the shelter for awhile before we adopted her, so she went from Lucy to Libby.

I have 2 names for the next 2 kids we're NOT gonna have tho lol

If I got to choose alone, I would name my next pet Sondheim.

I mentioned that to TG once though and his response was "so you get to name all of our pets then?"... so I guess he isn't quite as inclined.

I already named his girlfriend too, a black frenchie named Audrey with a string of pearls collar, but he can have 2 girlfriends and love on Josie/Lulu as well. (I'm not an Audrey Hepburn fan or anything, I just think it's good dog name and pearls seem fancy but I don't miss the connection.)

I am definitely a "meet the pet first" namer, and we aren't getting any more pets because we already have too fucking many, but if we were to get another pet, the name would be within our naming conventions, which means "important figure from MyCity history" or "character from the Wire" (Stringer Bell would be such a great cat name.)

Cosign. My dog is just half Parsons Russell Terrier and we adopted him at 1.5 and dude was a handful.

George is a strong contender for next pet (cat or dog). I like a nice human name for a pet haha

I would also consider a subtle nod to something we or the kids like. Some ones we have thrown around - McGee (cat) or Gibbs (cat).

Or we will cave and let the boys pick and then I’ll make sure to post lots of pictures of our pet Lightning McQueen :bored:

Beau was a Parson Russell so trust me we are well aware of the insanity. K loved it and insists he needs this pair. It’s been a discussion for years.

I’m also a name-the-pet-after-we-adopt person. When we got Ben, his name was Gentle Ben and we were going to change it but nothing else really fit so we kept it. The Gentle got dropped within a few months though. I don’t plan on getting anymore pets. I love animals but I have a huge fear of fire (like, our building burning down) and it stresses me out with Ben here. Also he has cost us $$$$. He’s worth it but I don’t want to go through the medical stuff again.

I would love to get another small/smallish dog at some point. I would have to see the dog before naming it.

I did always think Loaf would be a good name for a pug/Frenchie cubic sturdy dog.

I always thought a cat named Iring [ee-RING] would be hilarious. It's Ilocano, Philippines dialect, for cat. Iro is dog.
