So I didn’t know anything about Christie Tate until reading this on Wapo, but apparently she’s been blogging for a long time. Now her daughter has found pictures of herself along with her actual name on the internet. But don’t worry, Mommy won’t stop writing about her daughter’s personal life because that would be like amputating a piece of herself:

Oh, she is a piece of work. She's made her wordpress private, probs due to backlash, but she has an entry where she (not a Jew) was dating via JDate for a while and referred to the men she met as her "jewtors."

I'm just waiting for Kelle Hampton's kids to have the same experience.

Leta Armstrong. Lainey Hampton. Eleanor Davis. LMK when their tell-alls go on pre-sale.

I found excerpts published in other news articles, I'm good!

Her poor kiddo. I enjoy writing to "explore" pieces of myself and my life too, and wouldn't you know, I can do that in a private journal. All the benefits for me, none of the humiliation for the people in my life.

    Wow, she seems insufferable.

Her post about going on JDate is so cringy and gross.

I’m not Jewish, signed up on a Jewish dating website, and sobbed until I gagged because I got rejected because apparently the men on the website wanted to date Jewish women. I got half the criteria guys! I’m a woman! I don’t like ham!

She is right that if her kids have any sense, they'll never ask her for advice. Even for a mommy blogger, the self-centered assholery is remarkable.

But who's going to stroke her ego if she doesn't make it public? How is she going to get a book deal that way?

Wowwwwww. The Jewish guys who want to date a Shiksa are not on J-Date. She turned wanting a “nice Jewish boy” into something icky.

I just wanted a nice/good guy, and the one I found (on okcupid) happened to be culturally Jewish, but neither of us are interested in regularly attending either church or temple.

I am SO MAD on behalf of her daughter.

In summary: “now that you’ve caught me breaking your trust, I know it’s wrong.” But wait!

I am so cUltURaLlY dEvAlUeD, guys. So the best course of action is to make my kid who is barely a tweenager have to daily advocate for herself and her privacy against her MOM, the person who should be protecting her and having her back at all times, and have “hard conversations” where she has to stand up to me bullying her into putting up stories she finds embarrassing online so I get pAiD as a Serious Writer.

That's a really long way to say "my daughter saying 'no' doesn't count as 'no' to me."
