Ooh ooh I think that’s the one I saw in person that I couldn’t find again!
We have that Ikea table for the kids. A+ kids table. It's light and you can unscrew the legs if you really need it out of the way (which is likely not a problem for you, but we have needed to to make space for party type things at home)
We have one of those for legos!
Just fantasy decorating again. This is my second fave rug (whatever, husband with no taste) and I’m totally in love with the couches (I want two). But I just came across this coffee table and is it too much? I haven’t really picked out end tables/lamps etc yet. I want a gold and glass bar cart.
Wood slab or stick with something plainer (probably round or oval?)
Eta - hard to picture but the rug would be 9x12 so couches on the long sides, the table is 20-34” wide, so I’m also worried it’ll be too small.
I like a smaller coffee table, but that’s not a lot of usable surface area.
I think you need a longer coffee table with that couch (my grandparents had one that was very similar).
I’d do oval.
I don't think I like the rug and the table together and I like the colorful rug idea more than the table, although both are cool.
I'd probably go with a mid century modern glass and gold coffee table.
Maybe it’s small enough to be an end table. I’ll have to go look at it, they have one in town.
I agree with Ham. I'd go with a longer table
A coffee table is only supposed to be half the length of the sofa it goes with, so I don’t think it needs to be that much longer. It’s just that this tabletop has a lot of negative space in addition to being on the small side.
I really, really love that couch.
@Kimmers same! And the rug.
I love that table visually but I feel like there would be a lot of accidents.
It’s a table to be looked at, not a table to be used.
It’s the formal living room so basically everything is.
Then go for it.
Honestly I love it all and I’d do it. We are of the non-coffee table variety though so a ton of tabletop space isn’t a huge deal to me.
This isnt decor, neccesarily, but we are shopping for a bunk bed. I keep going back and forth on whether we should get one with a trundle, drawers, or neither. We don't have a guest room, so the trundle might be useful (but it has to be a twin size, so other than kids' friends, its use might be limited). And for drawers, a lot of them don't take up the whole underside, only half. If I have no drawers, I could probably use those underbed storage boxes, but obviously it won't look as nice. I did find one that has both a trundle and drawers, though the drawers looked small. Thoughts?
Drawers for sure
If you like the bed skirt look they would hide under bed storage boxes. That's still how my old room at my parents' house is.
A trundle seems like a fun idea for sleepovers but in reality every sleepover I had as a kid was in sleeping bags on a floor.
Yeah a trundle seems like not worth the money. I'd get drawers or like @HBC said, a bed skirt. I'm a fan of the look of drawers but not kicking the bed every time I get in/out or walk past, so depends your preference.
I had a trundle growing up, apparently my parents thought I would want to have sleepovers all the time. Barely used it. It got more use as a buffer when the toddler rails got removed from the bed. Go for drawers.
Thanks for the input! I'll skip the trundle. I found a bed I really like but it's out of stock until March. Booooo.
