I got vertigo yesterday and took Dramamine last night. It didn’t really help but I didn’t think anything of it until this morning when I thought to check the expiration date. It expired 2 years ago. Oops. I had to go to school today to check out so I called my mom to get one of her Bonine pills. It’s been 5 hours and I feel like I took an anti anxiety pill. I’m so loopy. It’s a good thing the loopiness kicked in after I got home. Dramamine usually makes me sleepy not loopy so this is a nice change at least for daytime.

I think I mentioned this before about signing up to volunteer and literally just did my background check this last week. But already have a gig to deliver food boxes - perfect timing since everyone is GTFO tmw!

so tired of feeling like a sack of useless shit.

Has anyone put a video montage together for a special event? To specify-- I am looking to do a montage for a birthday. I have ideas about what to video and capture, but not sure how to put together? Software ideas?

Are you on Mac or PC?

I used Windows Movie Maker on PC (though it’s been a while, so I’m assuming it’s still a program that’s available?) and iMovie on Mac. Both are pretty easy and straightforward.

I’ve used the Videoshop app to do this on my iPhone! It’s free and super simple to use.

@Erie we’re you able to splice in home videos?

Did anyone read those Jewel Kingdom books growing up? They came with little plastic jewelry in them?

I just remembered that they existed and Googled them and it turns out one of them was made into what was, from the 6 minutes of it I could find online, an extremely mediocre film.

I don't think these were the most popular books ever but I feel vindicated that they did in fact exist outside my imagination.

I know that I'm an adult with a bank account and the ability to go to a bookstore and get what I want, but there's nothing like the thrill of the Scholastic book fair coming to school and getting a new one of those, and a babysitters club...

Oh sorry, I don't know this one.

I hope so too! I've just asked my mom who is a teacher. Will report back.

They do! We had 2 this year except the second one got canceled because of Covid 19. The kids love the book fair.

The book fair was my jam. My county also had read in day (@A. Ham did your school do this too?) where all The kids would pack up tents, sleeping bags, snacks, books, and wear pajamas to school. The entire days was laying on the floor and reading.

@moose a lot of schools do that for Dr. Seuss Day. Kids bring their favorite book and wear pj’s. It’s more popular with K-4th grade than the upper grades.

Also, this reminded me that because of COVID, the Scholastic Book Fliers books can be shipped to my house instead of the school since I have a teacher account  Just put my order in!
