When I was pregnant I would throw up from breathing air too hard and stimulating my gag reflex. Would not be surprised over McDonald’s barf.
I threw up more in the second trimester. Once all over my car’s interior (and myself).
With C it was definitely worse second tri, cause it snuck up on me. First tri was just feeling like shit all the time.
This time I’m #soblessed to not have barfed (yet) save for all the gross wretching when I brush my teeth and feeling like I’ll die if I don’t eat constantly but not wanting to eat anything.
Yeah I had not much "morning sickness" at the start and then all of a sudden it hit me like a brick wall up until about 7mos. What I could eat one day was not at all ok the next, and sometimes mid meal there'd be a sudden switch of "nope, this isn't happening anymore."
The only thing that did actually help me was eating very small meals multiple times a day. But that can be difficult as well just because making or getting just a small portion is so hard, so you end up reheating things all day.
Alrighty then. Thanks for the insight, chickens.
I’m feeling a little better and I’ve been keeping down spaced out sips of Gatorade.
Could also just be a stomach virus too. I got one of those during 2nd tri with D. Nooooot fuuuuuun.
@Apples&Oranges Yeah that might be it/that’s what I’m hoping for at this point.
Just tried to eat half a saltine and it did not work out.
Maybe food poisoning?
Could be. Any other time I’ve had it it wouldn’t be affecting me this far after the fact (21 hours later) but pregnant and there are different types. Also my poop today has been fine.
At one point I lived on tea and broth for a couple days. Your body is probably still angry about lunch.
I was thinking food poisoning too. I never actually threw up either of my pregnancies. Plenty of dry heaving while brushing my teeth (for some reason I HATED doing that while pregnant) - but I never actually barfed. Probably the only reprieve from perpetually feeling hungover, the entire first trimesters.
How you feeling today @fantasynerd?
I never threw up with D. Except for the stomach virus 2nd tri. With S, I mostly heaved (teeth brushing ) that resulted in occasional barf. But had a pretty constant nausea. And one off occasion early 2nd tri where i barfed while in line for a bagel.
Hope you're feeling better today!
Thanks @Rico Suave and @Apples&Oranges.
I’m feeling a little better, I was able to have a little bit of chicken noodle soup, but then I got nauseous and light headed. Resting now and drinking more Gatorade intermittently.
I always threw up brushing my teeth in the third tri both pregnancies! I felt like it was so pointless to even brush them and then puke right after.
@whatchyagonnado I was so scared of my first postpartum dentist visit lol, I was convinced I was going to have like 20 cavities from all the barfing!
Thank you Universe, I should be able to eat today!
Should still take it easy, but it’s just R and I
Pretty sure it was a virus, because now R has very similar symptoms (though he hasn’t thrown up, yet). At least we were both feeling well yesterday.
Ugh @fantasynerd I feel ya. Toward the end of my pregnancy I was projectile vomiting at work and thought something was wrong with my blood pressure. Nope, because my husband got the same thing the next day. It was horrific.
My water broke so R and I are currently at the hospital. Baby should be here any time!
Wishing you a fast and easy labor!
So exciting! I hope everything goes super smoothly!
Yay! Come on baby @hellohelloagain
Yay, good luck!
