    Rum raisin

Maybe add almonds and/or almond extract to make an almost pbj cookie

    Cinnamon raisin

Sea salt sprinkled on top the brown sugar raisin cookie. This is a personal fave because raisins are my favorite snack after snorkeling or diving.

Never had it in cookie form but apple raisin is a good combo.

Anyone have a go to, simple pasta sauce recipe? I'm debating trying to make my own for the first time. I usually just buy the most basic Ragu because I hate any chunks in my sauce.

I think a big ol can of crushed tomatoes seasoned to your liking is going to be the ticket. Like, olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, 28oz can crushed tomatoes. Can add extra seasoning if you like—Italian dried mix or fresh parsley, whatever. Easy peasy and super yummy if you’re adding meatballs or something.

Smitten kitchen has the recipe for this here, but it’s also a recipe for meatballs so skip all that jazz if you want just sauce https://smittenkitchen.com/2019/03/perfect-meatballs-and-spaghetti/

I like to make pioneer woman’s spaghetti and meatballs which is a little more doctored up tomato sauce. Again, you could go all crushed tomatoes (or even straight tomato sauce) if you want it smoother. Also, while busting out the immersion hand blender is not what I would call “simple” , there’s always that if you like the onion/whole tomato flavor but just want it super smooth. https://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/spaghetti-meatballs/

Scotch is right, you really can't go wrong if you add your fave herbs. B gets a few frozen beef bones for flavor, and instead of chopping an onion, he lets half an onion simmer in the sauce and then takes it and the bones out to serve. Also lots of garlic and a Parmesan rind.

Thanks guys! I'll probably try one of these out on Friday if I'm feeling up to it. Hopefully I don't screw it up too bad.

Does anyone use beeswax cloth to store their homemade breads? Or what's your preferred method?
