It was flu shot day at work so I hustled over and got mine.

I've had a ton of sinus congestion/grossness since Saturday. I've neti potted, huffed menthol crystals, guzzled water, steam showered, etc. It's mostly cleared up but seems to be moving into a chest cold. What are your best suggestions to keep it from settling in? I had pneumonia last fall and I would not like to repeat that.

Are you taking any OTC meds?

Coricidin for Chest Congestion and Cough. Just started it this morning because I forgot I had it.

Got our flu shots last night at Target. Forgot to use the $5 coupons on the stuff we bought after.

So yesterday, the doctor was stumped and sent me to my podiatrist. Saw him today and he is also stumped (and super upset about it). So he ordered blood work and an MRI. Hopefully insurance approves the latter soon.

Bright side: at least two docs are sure it is not cellulitis.

Well that’s good about the not-cellulitis though some answers would be nice also.

Somehow this baby has stressed me out (?) so much and about 4 days ago I woke up with terrible jaw pain. My mom thinks it’s TMJ pain, which I’ve never even heard of before. But the top of my jaw by my ear hurts so bad and there’s a large knot when I open wide. My top and bottom teeth are also not making contact on that side. I’m gonna give it a few more days and then go to the dentist I guess? My irrational fear brain has already suggested tumor or that my wisdom tooth has grown into my jaw bone.

    Sounds like TMJ!

Another option is a chiropractor. They can massage the muscles (with gloves on) to help release the tension. It hurts like a bitch while they do it but it worked great for me.

Smashed my foot into the pack n play last night. My ring (?) toe still hurts quite a bit, is bruised, and is a bit swollen. I can walk on it more or less okay. Likelihood of me needing to see a doctor/it being broken? I'm guessing low but figured I'd ask

Even if it’s broken they can’t really do anything for it. Ice it and tape it to the toe beside it if you need to.

I’ve done similar and my toe WAS broken. The last time it happened I think I re-broke it but I was busy and never went to the doctor, just buddy taped it for a few days, and I don’t think it totally healed right and it’s still sensitive if I bang it on anything at all. I feel like a few days with a beautiful special shoe really helps.

Yeah I didn't know if a doctor would be able to do much. Of course I still haven't replaced my too small sneakers so this is going to be a fun day. We have snow so sandals aren't an option.

the first time I broke a toe was in nearly identical fashion. I tripped over a crib juuuuuust right. It bruised, discolored, and got a little swollen. Literally all you can do is tape it to the toe next to it, and maybe use crutches if you want to be really extra.

(If this persists, I will go see a Doctor)

I am having random right wrist/forearm pain today. It doesn't feel like a repetitive strain injury, it's not numb or tingly. It feels more like a strain of a ligament or maybe a muscle injury? I'm not sure. It hurts on the outside of my right wrist, about an inch below my hand. Along the ulnar? I'm not sure if that makes sense. It feels like a dull pain most of the time but hurts more if I turn my wrist or put weight on my hand.

I had a fall at home on Saturday. I was carrying a picture frame in my right hand and slipped on the stairs while walking up. I landed mostly on my left forearm and knees and the picture frame I was holding smacked against the stairs hard but I don't think my hand or arm hit anywhere. I would be surprised if a simple fall with no real injury would result in pain several days later. I have had repetitive strain pain before from long periods of computer work or (and this is pathetic) playing too much solitaire on my phone so I am familiar with that feeling and I really don't think that is the cause of this.

Why do Imaging Centers have 6am appointments? Why not 8pm appointments???

This is way TMI but since I started iron supplements following the c section my GI system has been all sorts of a mess, and not in the constipation way

You've been on an emotional roller coaster. That will do it to my digestive system.
