Bubble lawnmower rocks for when he’s old enough to push without just face planting (not sure if C is there yet, I don’t think E was yet). He would probably still think it’s awesome if you helped walk with him. Regular bubbles is fun too though I’m admittedly horrible at it.

Kiddy pool in the yard with little toys like rubber ducks, a dispersed sprinkler/hose head so he can play in the “rain”, light bouncy ball. We never had a water table but I wish I had gotten one.

I wouldn’t want to clean up the mess but you live the beach life, maybe kiddy pool with sand and sand toys?

Just sitting outside on a blanket with toys and frozen or super cold snacks is nice too.

    A ride on scooter?

Both my nieces and my nephews had one at that age and they LOVED them. Especially since the little seat opened so they'd stop and pick up rocks or twigs or whatever and put it in the "trunk"

D LOVES his little ride on push car. He got it I think when he was 1.5. It has definitely stood the test of time, compared to some other toys. Even S plays with it sometimes  This is the one we have. The lift up seat is a great feature, like hello said.

Cozy Coup is probably my 2nd choice to a bubble lawn mower.

Cozy Coupe was great at 1.5-2yrs for us, the shopping cart was the hit 1st birthday present.

OOOH I forgot about the little push/ride on car. That would be perfect. E LOVED that thing, very similar to what @Kimmers posted. E played with it in the house everyday until she was too big for it snd it threatened to flip and we finally put it in the garage

E loves a shopping cart. They are also good for quickly gathering toys at clean up time.

Oh, yeah, my kids loved the shopping cart. I didn't  but our apartment is small and I found it hard to put away. And the one we had flipped a lot for the unsteady walkers putting too much weight on the handle. The car we have as a little wedge thing underneath that does a really good job of preventing that from happening

You know what else is good, a baby doll & stroller. L loved hers as soon as she could walk a little and she’s still crazy about it. Loves popping Baby Stella in there and zooming around the house. She loves that doll too and is constantly giving her hugs/kisses, feeding her, shushing her to sleep.

Thanks for the suggestions! We ended up ordering a Cozy Coupe and a kids Adirondack chair for him. I put a couple of other things that were suggested on his Amazon wishlist as ideas for the people who have asked.

Z's 30th birthday and our 1st anniversary are next month, two days apart. He also has his graduation in late May. We'd been planning on a weekend trip for the anniversary/birthday and a family party for our graduations, all of which is clearly not happening.

Thoughts on how to make it special? I'm going to set up a Zoom birthday call with his friends and streamers and balloons and such, but since we can't really do the "experience" gift, maybe something he can have fun with while sticking around home?

Tl;dr: Help buy things for husband

What sort of things is he into? I know you guys got the Lego Hogwarts for your wedding. Maybe a different fancy Lego set?

A year or two ago I got “D” a cast iron pan, tortilla press, and a basket of taco making supplies (masa, salsa, etc). Anyway - it was fun to learn to make them together and also get to eat them. So I’d say some kind of gadget or the ingredients for a meal with an online cooking class.
1st anniversary is clocks or paper. You can get the guts and make your own clock together. Or some kind of paper craft that you can decorate the house with? Or gift certificates for a nice dinner, you know, later.

He loves sports - he and his friends have been doing a weekly Zoom where they watch old games and chat, which is fun. He plays video games, but tends more towards story-style and sports games, not shooty mcshooterton. He reads, more nonfiction and science fiction than I do.

He really did enjoy building a model of the Real Madrid stadium we got, so maybe something buildable would be fun.

@CoolWife I love the idea for cooking classes! A good friend of mine is offering virtual bar tending or cooking classes so if anyone is really into this idea hit me up if you’d like me to put you in touch with her. She’s super nice and funny and can for sure help you with cooking and/or mixology based on whatever you have on hand.

We have been doing a puzzle together which is really fun. They sell awesome ones, maybe you could do a really cool one from somewhere you've been together (was it Vietnam?) then mat and frame it as art for your new house?

It's our 3rd anniversary in less than a month and I don't know what to do for it. The past 2 years we've done a joint gift to ourselves. First year was our Italy/Greece trip loosely tying in the paper anniversary (boarding passes). Last year we got nice new towels and sheets for cotton/linen.

Got no ideas for leather/glass and since we can't go out for dinner or anything it's just feeling really lame.

Do you already have wedding/family pictures framed? That’s got glass. Need a new (leather) recliner? Matching handbag for you and wallet for him? A nice crystal serving bowl or vase.

W got me a leather strappy key ring that has the coordinates of where we got married. I got him some leather coasters, with wedding date and I think also coordinates  We must have read the same article about ideas for 3rd anniversary.

We don't even have wedding pics printed other than in a photo book. So that could work if I can figure out what to do with that. I'm shit at home decor and C is even worse.

I could use a new wallet but he says his is fine, of course. That would be so much easier.
