I’d probably do #2 or 3, though either way the gift card could also be to wherever she’s registered for other stuff. I’m always hesitant to go off-registry because maybe there’s a reason they’re not registered for those things (getting a bunch as hand-me-downs, hope to avoid using pacifiers, etc)

Probably a card? My typical go-to gift is a basket of baby meds, though.

Did she register for stuff outside the newborn phase? Like spoons, sippy cups, etc. If not, I'd probably do a basket of stuff like that. Or outfits in larger sizes.

Another option would be books - M's cousin got us her three kids' favorite childhood books (they're all in college now) and I thought that was a really cute idea.

I like 3, or the books idea. I basically always give books as a baby gift (sometimes with a small tie in toy, for example the most recent one I got them a copy of the Hungry Caterpillar that attaches to a stroller, and the matching toy where the different segments of the caterpillar are different textures and materials).

We have that stroller toy and C is a big fan.

I would get a gift card to Target & an outfit. Gift cards were everything after the baby was born. I think assuming that she wants pacifiers or will be nursing isn't the safest bet.

I had A look at the registry and he found the diaper pail we have on there so I was able to get that from bbb with a 20% off coupon so it was $51 and then I got 2 outfits and a book! Not really sure how I missed the pail the first time, clearly was having a fail all around last night!

I need that roaster but I’ll probably settle for a trivet.

I’ve never said this about anything flamingo-related, but I think I hate it.

It’s what a flamingo would look like in the Boohbah universe

    Need help shopping!

We are doing gift exchanges this year with our friend group. Each couple has a baby: 1 girl 14 months, 2 boys 11 months and 4 months. What do I get these kids?! They have everything already. So many toys. So many clothes.

    1. Pass to local attraction like zoo or aquarium or childrens museum or gymboree gym ect.

    2. Coupon for babysitting by y’all so parents can have a date night (and then maybe just a small toy so the older kids have something to open like the little people cars that are $5 and big and cute and not a choking hazard lol)

    3. Tickets to something like Disney on Ice (probably best for the older 2 only)

eta- also I know its still stuff but C at least loves little hiding spots so maybe something like a popup play tent which is fun but not a true “toy” and pretty inexpensive. They have different kinds like buses or castles ect. A town rug would also fall into this category

@Apples&Oranges I’ve never heard of that company and now I love them. That last one could be great for my class...

I like the zoo/aquarium pass idea.

I also find that even if kids have dressers bursting with clothes, people don’t tend to gift pjs as much, and pjs the next size up are always welcome.
