Oh god, I guess that was confusing. I was referring to the gold one as warmer, not the pink one.
LOL I figured you meant that one.
I think Wayne Goss did a video about this a while ago but it's become popular again because Jackie Aina started doing it. Powder your primer before applying foundation! I don't know if it would work for dry skin but if you have oily skin? Life changing.
Tangent, but I LOVE Wayne Goss. I barely wear makeup and still watch his videos. He’s so soothing and his techniques are so user-friendly. It’s also refreshing to see a makeup Youtuber who doesn’t have raging Narcissism front and center.
I love how quick and to the point his videos are too.
theBalm is 50% off today and tomorrow until 10 AM PST. After a lot of mascara trials, I decided that their Scuba water resistant mascara is the only one that really works for me. Everything else tends to smudge like crazy. Unlike most waterproof mascara, I can take it off easily too. Anyway, I got a year's supply of mascara.
Omg so timely I just used the very last of my BalmShelter this morning.
Well fuck my shade is out of stock.
I got the In the Balm of Your Hand Vol. 2 palette a few months ago in Ipsy, and I absolutely love it. It's great for all-in-one, every day, full office face.
I let the algorithms win and ordered from Glossier - the Cloud Paint in Storm and the Milky Jelly Cleanser. I’m sold. The cloud paint’s lovely; I hate feeling like I’m wearing makeup and this gives me color without feeling like it’s on my skin. The Milky Jelly Cleanser is great; it’s the first thing I’ve used that feels like nothing on my perioral dermatitis. Even stuff formulated for sensitive skin usually makes my skin tingle or burn, and stuff that doesn’t usually feels like something. I think I want to try their concealer next and MAYBE the skin tint.
Also, for chickens who have issues with rough feet - I recently started using O’Keefe’s for Healthy Feet Foot Cream and that stuff is magic.
I love Glossier. I think I may be being tricked by the millennial pink, but it brings me joy, so *shrug*. I will say, the skin tint is pretty much useless. I suppose it evens your skin tone like 1%, but it's just not worth the step. I do absolutely love the concealer for when my skin is really dry. It never dries down; it just stays creamy indefinitely.
@ScaryPearls good to know about the skin tint and that the concealer’s good! If the tint’s that weak I may look at something else. I’ve been toying with the idea of trying out some of the Dr. Jart Cicapair color correcting products, I might try those instead.
Actually, while I’m here - what have you rosacea chickens found to be holy grail products, and/or things that knock it out?
Currently I’m just using Glossier cleanser, Epionce Medical Barrier Cream as a moisturizer, and Kiss My Face Face Factor sunscreen. Also using my prescription cream and just started using diaper rash cream for bad flare ups (sounds weird, but it made a world of difference with my last flare up). So currently my perioral dermatitis is mild and greatly reduced, but it’s not going away, either. It’s similar to rosacea, and I know what works for one often works for the other.
Anything with niacinamide in it (like cerave PM), limiting caffeine and alcohol
I barely drink caffeine and alcohol, but my face lotion doesn’t have niacinamide. Cerave PM’s price is right, too. Thanks!
I also quite like the niacinimide from The Ordinary, and the one from the Inkey List has good reviews, if you like what you currently use and just want to add some niacinimide to your routine.
I LOVE the Dr. Jart cicapair tiger grass color correcting treatment. Great light coverage tinted moisturizer type thing. Covers the discoloration on my nose.
I decided to try out Native deodorant, since I’ve heard good reviews. My order arrived today, so we shall see how well it works for me! I also grabbed some of their body wash because the scents sounded delightful lol.
I've been using the Native Coconut & Vanilla. I love it!
I tried the Lume and it did not work, still stinky pits.
I don't hate Myro but it takes a bit to adjust. And it's tough switching from feeling nice and dry with an antiperspirant.
