Apparently the harness storage is only on the DLX version - it has little pockets on the side that you can stick the metal parts into.

Okay I’m sure it’s in this thread somewhere but I’m way too lazy to look.

I need to find a baby wearing device that isn’t too complicated. I have the Moby wrap and I hate it. Tying it is so difficult and it’s more frustration than it’s worth. Suggestions?

I also have and hate the Moby. In true Comet fashion, I ordered a whole bunch of carriers from Amazon to test them out and I found the Baby Bjorns to be the easiest to put on and get him in & out of.

I really like Baby K’tan for inward facing and side wearing. For outward facing I prefer the Ergobaby Omni.

I have the boppy comfyfit and it was a hybrid between the money wrap and a standard carrier. (But I did love my moby and boba wraps when E was smaller) I have the ergo baby and love it. We also have a lillebaby and it fits my husband well but it’s harder to switch between facing inward and outward, which we use a lot now that’s E is older. I wore E all the time when he was little and figured out which jiggling/dancing moves soothed him when he was screaming.

Daylight saving time has not been kind to me and I thought you meant he fits IN the carrier and I was confused and impressed

I only have the Ergo 360, and I do like it a lot. I haven't tried back carry with it yet though because E refuses. She loves the forward carry and would ride around in it all day if I let her. At this point, she's more than half my length so it's not the most comfortable for me now.

That would making grocery shopping with him way easier - no wandering away with the cart to parts unknown. o_O

@moose I think the Infantino Mei Tai is a good one for little bitties if you want that snug feeling of a wrap without wrangling yards of fabric. I can't recommend enough looking at a local babywearing group. You can try on everything and they help you with adjusting and learning. Ours let us check them out for a month at a time to use them.

Given that I’m due in early May, what should I consider buying for Black Friday/Cyber Monday?

I bought the high chair and car seat for Black Friday. No regrets.

Just big stuff maybe. Second time around we don’t need much, thank goodness. But there are some carseat deals if you know what you want. You won’t need a high chair for a year so that’s a maybe for me. I think we bought a playpen and that’s about it that far before C was born.

Graco Extend2Fit was $92 on Amazon last year. Of course, of you use a bucket seat for a while, you could wait to see what next Black Friday has to offer so you don't have that giant box sitting around.

The other thing is car seats expire, so if you’re going to use an infant seat for a while, you might want to wait to buy the convertible. Otherwise you’re going to lose a year or more on its life expectancy while it sits around in a box. You could get that next Black Friday even.

If you saw good deals on big ticket items like nursery furniture, a stroller, or something like a Mamaroo or baby carrier I think those would be good choices because you’ll use them right away.

Stroller, baby carrier, monitor, infant car seat, any spendy baby holding devices you are considering (like a swing), bassinet/crib, pack n play.

Baby monitor is a good idea! Those can be pretty spendy.

    Thanks chickens!

I’ll talk to R; I think I like the idea of starting with a bucket seat. And if there’s a good deal we’ll likely get a bassinet and maybe a monitor. I really want to room share for at least 3 months, but I’m thinking a monitor still comes in handy for naps and stuff?

Yes! Which reminds me I need a new one. C still has one in his room and it only holds a charge for a minute now.
